Welcome to Gurunanak College of Education and Research

The Guru Nanak College of Education and Research was established in I990.The institution is affiliated to the University of Mumbai The college happens to be among the few unaided teacher training institution that was awarded 'A' grade by the NCTE .It has been accredited with B++ grade by NAAC in 2005.This was mainly due to the high functional ethos, the work culture and the quality of the curricular and co- curricular programmes that served to develop the overall personality of the teacher trainee rather than just academic aspects. The students admitted to the college come from diverse backgrounds. Many of them are economically challenged and come from rural areas. The various remedial programs and counseling services that are provided cater to the special needs and problems of students.

Divya Punjabi : I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation to my college authorities and our Principal, Mrs. Neeti Pradhan for organizing the personality and computer courses which added extra feathers to our cap .An initiative of this kind is rare in a B Ed college and has certainly honed our skills. I also want to thank our Personality Development Sir -Mr. Shripad Parkhe and Computer Sir, Mr. Laxman for their excellent inputs.
